To verify this, scientists from Duke University injected mice with NMN to boost their NAD+ levels. After the treatment, they discovered that the heart of the mice could pump under stressful conditions. This means that the treatment maintained mitochondria health and caused a reduction in the amount of death of heart cells. So far, records from this experiment deduce that NMN can rescue heart function from pressure-induced heart failure.

The human skin plays a crucial role in their wellbeing. The skin acts as a protective barrier against physical injury and harmful UV radiation. Apart from being a sensory organ, it also prevents the loss of moisture.
There is scientific evidence that harmful UV rays from the sun can cause a reduction in cell NAD+ levels.
